boulder sans

Description

Boulder Sans is a display typeface intended for magazines, posters and other materials with large headlines. It is to be used at large sizes, with its intended range being from 20 pts to 200 pts. It is best suited for the use of designers rather than casual users.

This font is inspired by the clean, bold lines and blocky, structured designs of brutalist and mid-century modern aesthetics. The main concept of the mid-century modern movement was to prioritize functionality, blending bold, modern forms with natural materials to keep it grounded. Boulder Sans applies this principle to the font design, creating something that is bold, structured and geometric, like the shapes found in those design styles while being versatile and simple like the materials and approach of that era. Using Boulder Sans, various designs were created to showcase the font in its intended environment.
